Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Behaviour Therapist and Senior Behaviour Therapist, you will:

  • Be an active team member providing clinical services to clients within and/or outside Peel Region
  • Travel outside of the Peel region is required
  • Develop and provide educational sessions, workshops/presentations, both in group and individual formats, to clients, caregivers and community members.
  • Develop and support delivery of treatment curriculum in a 1:1 and group format
  • Complete Psychotherapy specific workbooks with clients within SSW scope of practice
  • Provide facetoface and virtual services depending on clinical need
  • Be responsible for detailed data collection, behavioural observations and documentation related to client treatment and supervision
  • Be involved in the assessment, development and implementation of programs, reports and recommendations
  • Assist BT in training mediators on implementation of treatment plans
  • Monitor adherence to treatment plan
  • Engage in activities related to skill development and professional development as required
  • Attend and be an active member in regular team and programwide meetings
  • Attend supervision with BT and SBT
  • Complete additional duties as required

Qualifications:


  • University Degree required (in social services, psychology or a related field)
  • Required registration with a professional regulatory body under the Psychotherapy Act (i.e. Ontario College of Social Work and Social Services Workers, College of Psychology, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)
  • BCBA/BCABA considered an asset
  • Safe Management Training (SMG) considered an asset
  • Work experience in the field of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) considered an asset
  • Experience providing Healthy Sexuality Education considered and asset
  • Experience providing Psychotherapy treatment related to sexual behaviour considered an asset
  • Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and Dual Diagnosis
  • Experience across a broad range of behavioural challenges as well as youth and adult populations
  • Must have strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and under the supervision of a Senior Behaviour Therapist/Behaviour Therapist
  • Track record of excellence working individually as well as a team member
  • Commitment to organizational values including: excellence, collaboration, accountability, respect and compassion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred
  • Experience delivering clinical services using a PHIPA approved virtual platform
  • Positive attendance and work record essential
  • Must provide own transportation and a valid driver's license with access to a dependable vehicle
  • Must have vulnerable persons police check
  • Proficiency in another language is an asset
