    Description

    We are seeking an HR Specialist to join our clients team and provide comprehensive support to employees and managers. As an integral part of our HR department, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions, including understanding payroll administration (not processing), employee relations, training, progressive discipline, and succession planning.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related inquiries, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, and employment standards.
    • Understand payroll deductions and pay stubs to provide clarification to employees.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, providing guidance and support to management and staff as needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.
    • Support HR projects and initiatives, including training programs, performance management, progressive discipline, and succession planning.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of inclusion and diversity.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
    • Experience in an HR role, with a strong emphasis on payroll administration and employment standards.
    • Thorough understanding of federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
