Description

the Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for supporting daily assembly production objectives and provide technical support during prototype testing and verification phases of product development in accordance with established procedures.

The incumbent will assist in the prototyping, validation, documentation and scale-up of production processes.


1- Job Related Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow quality management system policies and procedures as per AS9100 International Standard,
  • Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Align, fit, and assemble component parts, install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using appropriate hand tools and fixtures
  • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, accurately using precision measuring instruments such Multimeter, caliber, bore gauge, dial gauge, Pin Gauge
  • Assist in evaluating failures, complete appropriate nonconformance documentation and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Clear tooling faults in a timely and efficient manner using logic and adhere to established fault escalation procedures. Provide feedback of tooling performance after calibration and advise of maintenance plan if abnormal practice is found.
  • Actively participate in process improvement to maximize manufacturing process and optimize production output
  • Rework and/or repair assembled devices and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Maintain work place free of FOD and prevent ESD damage by adhering to 5S principals, following applicable policies and complete training required.
  • Participate in the production of prototype and first production builds and provide assistance to project engineer.
  • Participate in all training required to meet customer expectation such as Customer specifications and others as recommended by department manager.

2- Training, Experience, Education and Skill Requirements

  • Technical school in Mechanical or related fields, or minimum of grade 12 or equivalent education experience demonstrating equivalent required knowledge and competencies
  • 35 years of experience with Mechanical Assembly (i.e. Assemble/disassemble/rework)
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware systems and ability to read and interpret technical Drawings
  • Good manual dexterity demonstrating fine skills for working with small components (handeye coordination)
  • Ability to install mounts, brackets, cables, connectors, electronic equipment using hand and measuring tools such torque drivers, bore gauge, caliper, etc.
  • Good mechanical attitude and strong analytical skill to initiate new product introduction, NPI, with mínimal details and supervision
  • Must possess good communication and documentation skills.
  • Problemsolving skills, strong initiative and solid analytical and criticalthinking skills
  • Able to take direction and follow work orders to specifications
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a part of a team in a positive manner. Learn new skills, multi task while keeping focus and attention to details and work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills are required, familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Good written and verbal command of the English language

Salary:
From $24.00 per hour
