Description

How 'bout we skip right ahead to the fudge centre of the ice cream cake? Our small business, Sweetness, is located in Edmonton, AB.

We are biased - but we are pretty sure we are the coolest place to work for, ever. We really do believe in the power of imagination and we really DO love to play with our food. Honestly though, the job is not all sunshine and rainbows - there is some good and not-so-good news.

Let's get the not-so-good news out of the way first:

  • you are going to be surrounded by sweets on a consistent basis. You will need to flex those willpower muscles daily (just keep repeating
  • I CAN keep my hands out of the cookie jar and don't worry because we've all failed).
  • Review point 1.

Now let's dive right into the good stuff:

  • The work is fun, fresh and dynamic. I mean, you get to expand partnerships surrounding the innovation and excitement of colouring on cookies, it doesn't get better than that
  • You will experience things, do things and make decisions on things that no big stuffy company would ever allow you to do. We want YOUR input, YOUR creativity and YOUR ideas.
  • We are a small (not for long) business, run by husband/wife duo Chris & Kristy. We believe in working hard and playing harder. So, while we expect you to work efficiently and effectively, we also believe stress helps no one. Laughter is the best medicine and we are constantly joking. You must be able to take it and dish it out. Bring your 'A' game.

Now, let's talk about the job requirements:

  • You need to nail down the details. You don't need to race through work and get things done half
- assed (we figured that one out ourselves). We need you to slow things down and get them done right.

  • We want you to be meticulous in your work. Whether you are shy and quiet or outgoing and loud, we are looking for a good, fun person who gets s**t done. (Oh and we occasionally swear at the office )
  • You will be working independently, as well as with a team, to deepen existing partnerships and to create new ones. You will be introducing people to our brand and creating excitement surrounding our products.
  • You are goal oriented and self-motivated. Because let's be honest, it takes a special kind of person to make cold calling fun and exciting. You have an eagerness to grow our company with new sales, clients, and in new areas.
  • You love to be organized. With an ever-growing list of partners (and the s**t-ton you'll keep adding), it is critical to stay on top of the who/what/when that comes with delivering exceptional service.
  • See point above. Now, toss all that out the window and be ok with organized chaos when inevitably s**t goes south. We're a small business. We all wear many hats and we band together and support each other in any way when stresses happen.
  • You are a strong communicator and are able to adapt our messaging and material to suit target partners.
Your knowledge tank is filled to the brim with:

  • Experience crafting enticing communication, calls to action, and outlining next steps.
  • Utilizing different touch points during the sales cycle.
  • Objectives of a business owner or key player surrounding new product considerations.
  • An understanding of revenue, cost of goods, and gross margin and their delicate dance.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive (or Microsoft equivalent, cause it's all similar).

In short, your job is to grow our company's revenue by sharing the coolest product ever, get partners excited ("Hey - have you seen these cookies you can colour on?") and to have fun at work (who wants a job that isn't fun?).

Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism and punctuality.

But what we don't expect is perfection and someone who has mastered all the skills we are asking for to qualify for this job.

We expect intelligence, energy, a get it done attitude and a willingness to learn, grow and acquire new skills.

Sales experience is definitely an asset but experience in customer service, client relations and/or product marketing is just as beneficial.

If this is a job that gets you so excited you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you.

But if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we offer: This is a full-time Inside Sales/Sales Coordinator position, with salary between $38,000 to $45,000, based on experience.

You will be working from our West Edmonton office, located at 11486 Winterburn
Rd NW.

We can't wait to meet you
