About the Role
Performance Freight Management is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pricing & Operations Specialist to support our transportation and logistics operations. This position is well suited for a professional who performs effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and consistently delivers accurate, timely information.
The Pricing & Operations Specialist will play an integral role in pricing, shipment visibility, documentation, and operational support, contributing directly to efficient workflows and a high standard of customer service. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a calm, professional approach under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and evaluate carrier quotes to provide accurate and competitive pricing
- Analyze transportation lanes and prepare pricing responses for RFQs
- Track and trace shipments across all modes of transportation
- Retrieve and organize shipment documentation to support billing and invoicing
- Provide operational coverage and cross-training support for Account Managers as required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure effective communication across internal teams
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft tools for pricing, tracking, and reporting
- Identify missing or incomplete shipment information and proactively resolve discrepancies
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and air/ocean dispatching
- Strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Professional, composed demeanor in customer-facing situations

Compensation
$55K to $75k plus bonus as well sales commission with annual earnings up to $150,000.
