Construction Project Coordinator - Vancouver, Canada - Best Buy

Are you passionate about project coordination and the coordination of pre-construction activities? If yes, we are looking for someone like you to join our team
As a construction project coordinator, you will be dedicated to a new big box store's tenant improvement project in Greater Montreal.
What you'll do:
- Work 20 to 30 hours per week from August 2023 to July Document, file and monitor the project details and documents.
- Divide your time between the site (in Ville d'Anjou) and work from home as per project requirements.
- Review and report site conditions and progress.
- Review documents provided in French by contractor, trades, city, etc.
- Tracking the shop drawing submissions, review, and timely approvals.
- Track the RFI and coordinate with stakeholders to receive a timely response.
- Be a conduit for communications with Frenchspeaking individuals throughout the project.
- Provide technical support to the construction manager with regards to scheduling, cost control, document review and coordination of deliveries of owner supplied materials.
- Provide administrative support by preparing and reviewing notices of change, review change order pricing, market research for cost comparatives, processing progress claims and Invoices.
What we're looking for:
- Work independently while also collaborating with the team in BC.
- Fluency in English and French is a must. 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role or working dynamics.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings in English and French.
- Be able to drive and have access to a vehicle with a valid driver's license.
- Meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Experience in creating documentation with strong attention to detail.
