Maple Villa operates as a Long-Term Care Centre since 1971, serving seniors and older adults of Halton region and surrounding areas.

Our team strength is bonded by a dynamic partnership developed with our residents, their families and the community. Reports to the Environmental Services Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strict adherence to infection control best practices for cleaning and disinfecting.
Clean and service assigned rooms and areas according to established standards and procedures including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash and this position includes floor care duties.
Follow all safety and security procedures and regulations while performing daily duties
Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management (laundry, public areas, etc.)

Required Skills:

Minimum one (1) years' experience in housekeeping department.
Proven cleaning ability with full attention to details
Approachable, pleasant, polite, fast
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products an asset
Selfstarter and able to work with minimum supervision

Qualifications

Effective interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills
Ability to work as a member of the team
Strong customer service experience
Able to take initiative and work with mínimal supervision
Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Two Step TB test within 6 months

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (proof of vaccination required)

Part-time

Part-time hours: per week

Salary:
From $21.17 per hour
