Position Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Advises prospective students on their program choice and career options.
  • Provides support to international students by advising students regarding cultural and nonacademic issues. Liaise with the homestay service provider and other divisions of the College and refers students to other departments.
  • Resolves student issues, escalates complex issues as needed.
  • Organizes the agent agreement renewal process, editing the new agreements and communicating with the agents.

  • Asia in administrative and liaison duties.
  • Coordinates the logistics for travel for the Asia team members, College staff and faculty involved in international initiatives, and/or students on international programs, including requests for travel approval and expense statement reports, fair registrations, hotel reservations, and coordination of meetings with international partners.
  • Coordinates orientation/reception/logistics for visitors, delegations, and guests of College.
  • Supports recruitment events and represents the College / International in local student fairs, events.
  • Data gathering and analysis to monitor the expenses according to the approved budget and International Travel Plan. Marketing materials distribution and shipment logistics.
  • Acts as a recruitment backup for the Business Development Officers during their absences.
  • Translates and edits promotional materials.
  • Supports graphic design/production of promotional materials, the college website and international marketing initiatives as required.
  • Other duties as assigned. May be required to travel overseas on occasion.

Educational and Experience Requirements:


  • Threeyear diploma or degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in Business, Marketing, International Relations, Office Administration, Language, or other related field of study is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of office experience, including experience in clientele relationship maintenance and development to a diverse clientele in an educational setting, including crosscultural sensitivity.
  • International and inCanada travel logistics experience (travel bookings, visas/passports, connections, hotel and other logístical reservations for individuals and groups).
  • Native oral and written fluency in Japanese, Vietnamese, or Cantonese.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, Online Application System and Banner is preferable.
  • Experience in processing complex and specialized information and providing guidance is required.
  • Experience with collaborative projects and crossfunctional teams; experience working across a broad range of student groups, with student services and with relevant academic stakeholders is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, coordinating and timemanagement skills; detailoriented, results driven and collaborative orientation.
  • Ability to lift between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., boxing of marketing materials, etc.).
  • Demonstrated collaboration and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
