Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Trade Compliance, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with import laws and regulations. Responsibilities include providing daily operational support, reviewing documentation for import compliance and completeness, managing live clearances, managing low value clearances

Job Description:

Daily operational support:

Create and manage import/export documents and perform export third party screening.
Liaise with government agencies, carriers and internal contacts to expedite shipments
Work with Caterpillar and other vendors to monitor and reduce cost of imports
Quote exporting and importing costing to internal contacts.
Provide advice to internal contacts for international shipping requirements and compliance
Manage prime ETA's and Temporary Importation Bonds
Review Customs Department processes for opportunities to improve efficiencies/reduce costs.

Education & Experience:

Diploma or degree in International trade, logistics, business or a similar field.
Certified Customs Specialist, Customs export specialist or Certified Trade Compliance specialist is an asset
Experience with CARM and Single Window is an asset
Experience with Vehicle emission regulations is an asset
Experience with USA regulations, AES filing and other export reporting/documents is an asset
