The Opportunity
Mosaic is seeking a
Corporate
Development Analyst to work out of either our Nanaimo or Vancouver, BC Office.


The Role

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, the Corporate Development Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and analytical expertise to Mosaic.

This role will focus on expediting the delivery of analysis to inform decision-making and communication across departments.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating and recommending new investment opportunities, covering M&A, real estate, renewable energy, bioenergy, carbon, and Indigenous partnerships;
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to guide investment decisions;
  • Standardizing project management across the portfolio of Corporate Development projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Preparing presentations and financial analysis for the Executive Team, Investors, and Board of Directors;
  • Researching and monitoring the timberlands sector, synthesizing insights into trends and implications for Mosaic;
  • Reviewing and updating internal tools, including cash flow models and market analysis; and
  • Conducting studies and research projects to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or related field;
  • Achievement or pursuit of a professional designation (CPA, CFA or CBV);
  • 35 years of relevant experience in Corporate Development, Management Consulting or Investment Banking;
  • Previous experience in Natural Resources is preferred but not required;
  • Advanced computer skills and systems knowledge;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong project management skills; and
  • Demonstrated ability in engaging diverse teams and senior leadership, coupled with the ability to work independently.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $88,000 to $110,000. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
