Transportation Manager - Brampton, Canada - Nahar shipping Services Inc.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods
• Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize cost, service, and performance
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth coordination of transportation activities
• Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
• Supervise a team of transportation personnel, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
• Manage relationships with thirdparty logistics providers (3PLs) and negotiate contracts as necessary
• Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, warehousing, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure reliable transportation services
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of transportation systems, processes, and regulations
• Proficiency in using transportation management software or systems
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Knowledge of materials management, demand planning, and order fulfillment processes
• Familiarity with freight forwarding operations and customs regulations

Salary:
$41.00-$55.00 per hour
