What we offer


With a focus on procurement practices and principals, the Continuous Improvement Manager will make a direct contribution to business success by driving processes improvements within the Procurement team to improve our ability to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

This role will be involved in documenting processes, recommending improvements, driving buy-in for improvements, and building appropriate internal controls to improve the way we work and to enhance the Procurement function within the GTA Low Rise Division.


What you'll do

  • Establish and analyze process requirements, dependencies, and system limitations from key stakeholders by conducting interviews and facilitating process mapping workshops.
  • Obtain business endorsement at all levels (Sr. Leadership to individual contributors) for proposed improvements.
  • Project manage the deployment of all Procurement related business improvement initiatives including costs to implement, targeted improvements, risk management / mitigation, and schedule adherence.
  • Produce and disseminate training content to educate the procurement team on implemented processes and/or systems.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal departments, divisional procurement teams, and trade partners to effectively communicate and affect process change.
  • Analyze implemented processes and systems performance and support the facilitation of postmortems on process improvements.

  • University degree at the bachelor level or above in commerce, business administration, or engineering.
  • 5+ years' working knowledge of change management methodologies, principles and practices, and complex projects in change management capacity.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing / management, process mapping, data mapping/flow, value stream mapping, DMAIC, and 4 Disciplines of Execution.
  • Experience leading business transformation and change management programs in mid to large size organizations.
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent judgment and strategic thinking
  • Superior communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Highly organized to prioritize, manage and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. Project, Excel,), Visio or other flowcharting tools

  • Experience working in a Procurement or Estimating function.
