Westerner Park is seeking an Human Resources Assistant summer student to join our team as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program Here's what you'll be doing:

Assist with day-to-day operations of the Workforce function including both HR and Volunteer support
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Workforce business unit
Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
Update and maintain the Workforce SharePoint and respective documents
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations etc.)
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes
Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Communicate with public services when necessary
Support onboarding and offboarding processes

Is this you? Here's what we're looking for:

Attending a business related post secondary program, or a recent graduate, preferably with a Human Resources focus, is an asset
Human Resources experience is an asset
Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite
A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude
Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program

Rate of Pay:
$18.00 Per Hour
