The Rotman Commerce program is offered jointly by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts and Science.

It is a highly respected program within the business, financial and academic communities.

Rotman Commerce serves approximately 3,200 in-program undergraduate business students as well as over 17,000 graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce program.

As the Enrolment and Records Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the data collection and analysis process for the Academic Services Program at Rotman Commerce.

You will work as part of the Academic Services team and will be responsible for providing registrarial service, data information and administrative support to the program's staff, teaching faculty and students.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Overseeing the data collection and analysis processes
  • Reviewing and assessing student records to confirm academic standing, including eligibility for program progression and graduation
  • Creating and updating student records
  • Coordinating the submission process of student grades/marks
  • Advising students on program and/or course matters by providing options and consequences impacting academic success
  • Tracking and monitoring enrollments and informing management of enrollment numbers
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for records administration activities
  • Running queries to gather data and generating reports

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum four (4) years related experience in a registrarial student services academic environment
  • Must possess an understanding of policies and processes related to student registration, academic records and grades reporting, conferring of degrees, academic course scheduling and curriculum deliveryto assis
  • Proven facility in providing effective and responsive customer service in a fastpaced, dynamic and demanding environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is arequirement for reporting and analysis
  • Must possess excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Tact, diplomacy and sound judgment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analyticalskills required
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy, fastpaced environment

Assets (Nonessential):


  • Familiarity with and knowledge of UofT's student service webbased tools (e.g. Degree Explorer, Course Finder, Transfer Explorer, etc.)
  • Knowledge of scheduling/classroom management software, student/instructor portals, and website architecture
  • Thorough understanding of the Rotman Commerce BCom curriculum and program requirements; relevant University, FAS and RSM policies and procedures; and student information systems
