Description
Core Responsibilities

  • Connect with store manager, meat manager, bakery manager and other food related managers at each of the 14 Walmart stores in York Region and with Metro and Food Basics retail stores that FBYR serves.
  • Connect with potential new food retail store managers for collaboration similar to current retailers.
  • Ensure that each store manager type has your contact information for communications.
  • Seek permission from each store manager to place our donations bins in the store.
  • Encourage each retailer (except Walmart's) to raise funds at the cash during holidays.
  • Ensure there's a glitch free food donation process from each department.
  • Encourage more food donations from retailers as directed by CEO or Logistics Manager.
  • Manage and oversee the placement of donations boxes in the store when applicable.
  • Pickup store donations when available.
  • Write reports on food donations from retailers when required

RE:
Walmart and One More Bite Program

  • Connect with each agency (food pantries, social service agencies, schools and social housing)
  • Ensure that challenges with deliveries at each agency are resolved to the satisfaction of the Logistics manager.
  • Research and seek new community partners

Re:
Social Housing, Schools

  • Create onboarding documents for new community partner
  • Create tool kit for new clients.
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required;

  • G class drivers license with zero points and no atfault accidents in the last 10 years
  • Working knowledge of MS software
  • Computer literate
  • Owns and is able to use a cell phone for work duties
  • Able to pickup full donation boxes and transport back to the warehouse.
  • Fill out and sign incoming donation receipt for each donation picked up by you

Job Type:

Fixed term contract

Contract length: 8 months


Salary:
$24.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

- driving: 5 years (required)
