**Job Summary: **Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Ag Equipment Technician to be a part of our custom products
assembly and equipment commissioning team. Vale Industries is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with lots of

**Duties and Responsibilities: - Read documents, computer screens, blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout
- and procedures

Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
Verify specifications by measuring completed component
Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain

Gain and maintain efficiencies by following lean principles
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

**Education and Qualifications: - Completion of a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th year
- apprentice

2+ years' experience in general assembly work or specialized training
Experienced with a variety hand tool and power tools
Manufacturing experience in an agricultural or aggregate + mining environment an asset
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings
Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines; willing to work extra shifts when required
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the flexibility to handle changing

Basic math and communication skills required
Able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment/able to work under pressure

**Knowledge Areas and Experience: - Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to accurately fit parts
Overhead crane and forklift training an asset (but not required)
Experience rigging and safe handling of components
WHMIS training an asset
