HE ROLE


As ETRO's Estimating Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cost estimates and the coordination of proposals for assigned estimating projects.

Reporting to the Director of Estimating, you will be responsible for providing area-specific forecasts and reporting project status to upper management.

Managing multiple bids and serving as a liaison between the estimating team and upper management will be key aspects of your role.

As an Estimating Manager, effective communication is key.

Navigating different aspects of the business and working closely with subcontractors, clear communication is vital for creating winning bids and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Here's what you'll get up to as the Estimating Manager:
Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects.

Provide area specific forecasts and report projects status.

Manage multiple bids and perform as liaison between estimating team and upper management.

Revise estimates and implement required changes.

Maintain client relations by being lead contact of proposals for clients.

Monitor and ensure bid format meets clients standards.

Evaluate Customer Request for Tender/Bid/Quotation documents.

Identify and learn customer requirements for bid purposes.

Coordinate bid inputs from all organizational departments.

Coordinat with subcontractors to receive input on pricing on labour, materials and other costs.

Participate in pre and post bid meetings as required.

Perform as liaison for Project Management when tender is awarded and becomes a job.

Review, provide feedback and evaluate performance of Estimators and Sr. Estimators.

Market ETRO's services to existing and potential clients.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
On top of your passion to work in a growing business full of professionals in the trade, here's what we're looking for:10+ Years progressive related construction experience with a focus on estimating of multi-family residential and commercial projects

University Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or Technology Diploma

A developed technical knowledge of modern construction practices, techniques and equipment

Proficiency in and understanding of construction documents with the ability to assess their completeness

Knowledge of construction costs and budgets, ability to develop project schedules

Strong computer skills; experience with MS Office and related estimating software

Knowledge of BIM modeling, Revit, AutoCAD, LEED

Effective organizational skills, strong work ethic and leadership skills

Demonstrated skill to identify and solve problems in a prompt and decisive manner
