- Performing accurate, comprehensive installs, diagnosing, repairs, and maintenance of residential gas lines, air conditioners and associated equipment.
- Collaborating with site foreman and other trades to coordinate site work activities.
- Reading and interpreting drawings to assist in laying out gas and vent piping details. Assisting Journeyperson Gasfitter to determine and prepare materials, equipment and tools as required.
- Testing and troubleshooting gas systems for leaks and other issues.
- Responding quickly and efficiently to Service Calls, documenting and completing service reports as required.
- Participating in activities at all stages of building lifecycle to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining general awareness and understanding of codes and regulations.
- Working in a safe manner and complying with Star's Safety Program and relevant safety regulations.
- Organized; you effectively manage your time while balancing multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication.

- Red Seal Gasfitter B Trade certification.
- Provincial Gas Fitter's licence.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Air Conditioning Mechanic (Residential) certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in residential construction industry is preferred.

Work Conditions
You primarily work on construction job sites during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required. Evening and weekend work may be required on an on-call basis.
