Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team.

As a shipping clerk, you will pay a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient shipping and receiving products.

Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our logistics.

Responsibilities:

Manage the process of the shipping documentation and coordination, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and custom forms, accurately and in a timely manner
Direct truck to proper dock area (if required)
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting packages for damage, discrepancy, or shortages
Organize and maintain shipping and receiving areas, ensuring, cleanliness, order, and proper storage of goods
Collaborate with office manager to ensure picking, packing and staging of products for shipments

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
Proven experience in shipping or a similar role, with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures

Skills:

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to perform physical task, such as lifting and moving packages weighing up to a designated limit
Flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed to accommodate business demands
