- Assess patients and gather information through observation, communication, and physical assessment.
- Make nursing diagnoses and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with patients and families to develop care plans.
- Coordinate nursing care and delegate tasks.
- Educate patients and families on illness prevention and self-care.
- Participate in care planning, committees, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and competence.
- Act as a mentor to new nursing staff and students.
- Document patient information according to standards.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of postgraduate coursework or equivalent experience.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Conduct patient assessments and provide nursing care.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, medical staff, and the care team.
- Promote person-centered care and patient advocacy.
- Problem-solve and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Organize and prioritize work effectively.
