GEI Consultants Inc is seeking a full time Junior Contract Administrator who is capable performing a dual task and perform Site inspections aswell, for our Land Development and Municipal projects team.

The Jr. CA would work collaboratively with the Construction Management Team within the Land Development and Municipal Engineering Department. Our Land Development and Municipal Engineering department focuses on Municipal infrastructure projects for both private and public clients.


Primary Responsibilities:


Collaborate with Construction Management team, including:

  • Field/site inspections of Municipal infrastructure projects including related Contract Administration works for both private and public clients;
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed project records (i.e. daily reports, asconstructed data, site instructions/directives, etc.);
  • Coordinate Project activities;
  • Ensure conformance with the Contract requirements (specifications, materials, etc.);
  • Liaise with municipal inspectors to ensure compliance with municipal requirements;
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed project records; and
  • Review drawings and provide comments with regards to constructability

Qualifications

  • 2+ years professional experience in a site setting as a Site/Field Inspector is an asset
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree as a Civil Engineering Technologist;
  • OACETT Certified as a CET is an asset;
  • Knowledge of standard engineering construction principles, techniques and practices;
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills;
  • Experience managing projects and clients;
  • Excellent understanding of technical drawings, detailing and specifications;
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook); and
  • Access to a vehicle and valid Ontario Driver s License
  • G Class
