    An Oxide Operator will operate the oxide line, perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs, and perform process and product quality checks. Will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties. Operators will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.

  • Operate a chemical line with layers prior to Lamination
  • Work in a team based environment
  • Work towards department quality/ efficiency goals
  • Complete necessary training and certifications
  • Maintain continued operation of machines
  • Utilize proper handling methods for both layers and panels
  • Recognize quality issues and look for possible solutions
  • Adhere to applicable processes
  • Comply with individual machine procedure/ control plans
  • Facilitate assess to equipment by maintenance personnel
  • Practice good housekeeping
  • Wear required personal protective equipment
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on the oxide line with assistance
  • Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the extent necessary to perform the job
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift and lift 30 pounds without straining
  • Ability to operate a computer system
  • Adherence to all safety requirements of the position
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
