About the role:
The Operations Support Supervisor will use their strong planning, organization, and analytical skills to ensure daily KPIs are met. They will direct and supervise the unionized associates assigned to support functions (lead hands). This role will support the Warehouse Supervisors in overseeing the day-to-day operations in the warehouse.
This role will support our afternoon and or midnight shift.
What you will be working on:
- Assign work orders and manage workload using ERP software.
- Supervise a team of unionized warehouse associates assigned to support functions. This includes delegation of tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action to resolve daytoday operational issues.
- They will organize the date to ensure aged orders, exceptions, and priorities are being distributed to the team.
- Encourage the order pickers to meet their targets by providing working strategies and feedback against performance expectations.
- Identify operational challenges and provide potential solutions in order to meet shift performance expectations.
- Report misalignments and problems directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Investigate and resolve past due orders daily using ERP software and other reporting programs.
- Ensure that orders being completed and staged correctly.
- Ensure that the packaging machines are continuously fed with parts and boxes.
- Send out accurate and timely shift reports to upper management for review and feedback.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a fastpaced warehouse environment.
- Good working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Proactive problemsolving skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Service oriented mindset
Physical demands and working conditions:
- Working in a warehouse environment
- Sitting, Standing, and walking required
- Use of computer and desk
- May be required to lift up to 25lbs
