Inventory Analyst - Toronto, Canada - Mircom Technologies
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- The Inventory Analyst will analyze and detect data quality issues. They will conduct a root cause analysis, recommend changes to fix the root cause, follow up on the status of the recommendation and report back to management.
- Implement a system of statistical inventory counts to verify inventory accuracy
- Identify inventory losses, overages, and shortages by documenting and evaluating inventory reports and drawing conclusions to improve inventory systems
- Produce department KPI's
- Produce other analysis as required
- Provide insights to support decisionmaking for purchasing and warehousing activities
- Monitor production costs and find reasons for discrepancy
- Participate in the production planning activities including Kan Ban calculations, FG requirements, intermediate goods requirements, Raw Material requirements
- Balance the inventory requirements with the customer service expectations
- Perform statistical counts
Requirements and Skills:
- University, College, or Technical Post-Secondary education.
- 1 to 3 years experience as an Inventory Analyst
- Knowledge of data management tools
- Experience with AX or D365 systems (asset)
- Capable of producing SQL scripts
- Capable of designing Power BI reports
- Passionate about organization and information communicated
- Very structured approach to data management
- Capable of thinking strategically and tactically to find root causes and fix the problems
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and proven accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Need to have high sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
