Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: You'll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.


As ATB's next Expense and Travel Analyst, you will be a key team member to ensure compliance with ATB's expense and travel policies and procedures. Utilizing data to optimize Accounting Operations processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain financial transparency for budgeting purposes.

Primary Accountabilities:


  • Audit and process travel and expense claims. Work with Internal Assurance, Internal Controls and various risk stakeholders on regular review processes
  • Ensure reports are in adherence to our Travel and Expense policy and flag any inconsistencies or trends in data
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators for expense and travel data
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies pertaining to expense and travel
  • Provides analyses and insights in expense/travel reporting
  • Regularly monitors financial implications and proactively identifies key areas of improvement, communicates regularly with various internal financial stakeholders.
  • Responsible for staying up to date with travel industry trends, fraud identification and risk mitigation tactics
  • Provide mentoring to team members on the travel and expense policy and system
  • Considered a Concur system expert, monitors and operates the expense and travel system. Answering any inquiries that come through from team members
  • Involved in system configuration changes, testing, and working with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the system adheres to best practices and is operationally efficient.
  • Identify system, process, policy and operational challenges and work with Accounting Operations Manager to ensure fixes are implemented
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Payable functions
  • Generate adhoc data reporting and analysis, translate the information into insights that drive decision making

Requirements:


  • Post secondary education in related field
  • A University degree, preferably in the business, financial or accounting
  • 5+ years of comparable experience
  • Knowledge of Concur and SAP is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of G-Suite programs considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to have difficult conversations with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of business travel contracts and previous relationship management in the travel field an asset
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to effectively present and communicate data to different audiences
  • Knowledge of business rules, processes and policies
  • Strong time management and detail oriented
  • Adaptable, agile, innovative mindset with the proactive approach to continuous improvement
