- Coordinate onsite maintenance activities, including contractor management
- Communicate expectations to plant staff, monitor and appraise job results and mentor
- Support professional development, reviews, and succession management activities
- Support the training of personnel, including training program development and execution
- Ensure plant operations, performance, operational and regulatory reporting requirements conform to operating standards and procedures, and initiate appropriate process adjustments
- Supervise the performance of the facility through the use of Key Performance Indicators and other metrics
- Review computerized operating and laboratory results and database, to ensure record integrity
- Lead optimization initiatives in the facility as part of continuous improvement efforts
- Support the development of Job Aids, Standard Operating Procedures, Training Manuals, Training Presentations, and Verifiable Learning Objectives
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Sciences, or other relevant subject area
- Minimum ten years' experience in an industrial setting or large municipal facility, experience in a water or wastewater treatment plant would be an asset
- Minimum five years' experience leading a team
- Demonstrated proficiency in applicable computer process software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License or equivalent
- Level III or IV Water or Wastewater Treatment certificate is an asset
- Prior laboratory or maintenance experience is an asset

Join our Water Quality Management team as they work to ensure the health of the local watershed, guided by the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Water Operations, the Supervisor, Water Operations is responsible for leading the safe and efficient execution of work and ensuring that the water treatment facility aligns with all appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures. In this role, you will have the opportunity to train and work in all of our Elk Valley facilities on long term rotations. The schedule is an attractive seven days on, seven days off, which may include nights.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with great interpersonal and communication skills, who has excellent mentoring and leadership abilities. The successful person would have sophisticated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities, and be adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $101,000 - $125,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
