Position Summary

  • Oversee the daytoday accounting operations of Eagle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month end and year end financial reporting, including determining and recording; required journal entries.
  • Preparation of year end working paper files and liaise with external accounting professionals for all entities.
  • Continually review processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency, making changes where necessary, ensuring integrity of operational data and systems.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
  • Coach/develop/mentor/support team members.
  • Expert at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to treasury and banking functions as required, including monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Monthly and quarterly tax filings and remittances.
  • Lead and develop a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Continually expand your knowledge of the entire operations of Eagle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • CPA designation with a minimum of 3 years' post designation public practice experience and a strong understanding of GAAP and ASPE.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to effect positive change through coaching and engagement activities.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite along with experience in or the willingness to learn industry specific programs and investigate, recommend, and implement software efficiencies.
  • Improvement oriented and focused on identifying business efficiencies.
  • Detail focused and strong ability to multitask with strong organizational skills.
  • Meet tight deadlines while ensuring work is accurate and correct.
  • A valid class 5 license and acceptable abstract.
  • Willing to work in a fastpaced environment.
