Job description

You Are:

You are a passionate and experienced engineer who thrives in the fast-paced world of analog circuit design.

With deep expertise in transistor-level CMOS fundamentals, you have tackled complex challenges in DDR and SerDes sub-circuits, and you're eager to further your impact on next-generation technologies.

You are naturally curious, continuously seeking out new learning opportunities, whether in artificial intelligence, machine learning, automotive applications, or emerging semiconductor trends.

Your command of schematic entry, layout, and verification tools is matched by your proficiency in SPICE simulators and simulation methods.

You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, leveraging your strong communication and time management skills to drive projects forward.

You're comfortable working with LINUX/UNIX environments and version control systems, and you bring a collaborative spirit, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset to every project.

Your attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to mentor junior engineers make you a valuable team member.

Above all, you seek to make a tangible impact on the industry, and you value an inclusive workplace where your ideas help shape the future of high-performance silicon solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:
Designing and developing analog circuits at the transistor level, with a focus on CMOS design fundamentals.

Leading detailed design and analysis of DDR and SerDes sub-circuits including equalizers, samplers, voltage/current-mode drivers, serializers, de-serializers, voltage-controlled oscillators, phase mixers, delay-locked loops, phase locked loops, bandgap references, ADCs, and DACs.

Utilizing industry-standard tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification to ensure robust and reliable circuit performance.
Running and interpreting SPICE simulations to validate circuit behavior under various conditions.
Collaborating with global, cross-functional teams to integrate analog IP into broader chip architectures.
Contributing to projects involving AI, machine learning, and automotive applications, expanding the reach and versatility of Synopsys IP.
Managing code and design documentation using version control systems and collaboration platforms.
Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices across the team.

The Impact You Will Have:
Advancing the performance and reliability of Synopsys' analog IP portfolio for leading-edge semiconductor solutions.
Enabling rapid innovation in industries such as automotive, AI, and high-speed communications through robust analog circuit design.
Improving efficiency and quality of chip designs by leveraging your expertise in design verification and simulation.
Fostering collaboration across global teams, enhancing knowledge sharing and project outcomes.
Influencing the development of future technologies by contributing to high-profile projects and initiatives.
Driving Synopsys' reputation as a leader in analog design, supporting customer success and satisfaction.

What You'll Need:
Strong expertise in transistor-level circuit design and sound fundamentals in CMOS technology.

Hands-on experience with DDR and/or SerDes circuit blocks (equalizers, samplers, drivers, serializers, de-serializers, VCOs, PLLs, DLLs, bandgap references, ADCs, DACs).

Proficiency with schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification tools.
In-depth knowledge of SPICE simulators and simulation methodologies.
Experience with LINUX/UNIX environments and command-line operations.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce) and code collaboration platforms.
Exposure to AI, machine learning, and/or automotive applications is advantageous.

Who

You Are:

Strong communicator able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
Effective collaborator within diverse, cross-functional global teams.
Proactive and adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities and fast-paced environments.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Organized, with strong time management skills and a commitment to quality.
Mentor and team player, willing to support and guide junior engineers.
