In this newly created role, you will be working alongside the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team and Talent Acquisition team, providing support for the day-to-day operations in recruitment delivery and maintenance of HR programs, and onboarding and offboarding initiatives as part of the employee life cycle.

This role is vital to both teams to ensure relevant information is available and communicated in a timely and appropriate manner to various stakeholders internally and externally.


Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, with an informal reporting line to the Manager, Talent Acquisition; you will contribute towards the success of HR and Talent programs that support IMCO's objective of being a mature asset manager to help our clients meet their financial obligations by enabling our teams to be able to deliver.

You will interact with various levels of management, employees, guests, outside service providers, and will provide a meaningful partnership that role models our brand values and service expectations.

This is a key role in delivering exceptional customer service experiences to our internal and external stakeholders and employees.

As a Member of Our Team, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Human Resources- Coordinating matters related to the employee lifecycle; from onboarding to offboarding.- Supporting the rollouts of enterprise-wide HR initiatives: talent programs, performance management, employee engagement and recognition initiatives, payroll and total rewards programs, and training and development, etc.- Conducting stay and exit interviews, determining areas of improvement and providing feedback.- Creating resources and presentation material, briefing summaries, draft correspondence and setting meeting agendas for the HRBP team.- Providing general administrative support to the HRBP Team as needed.

Talent Acquisition Researching and advertising vacancies across channels to optimize our talent reach. Coordinating in-person interviews (working with Hiring Manager's executive assistant where applicable) Administering technical assessments as part of the interview process if/when needed. Conducting employment reference checks, employment verifications and complete criminal background and credit check process for prospective hires. Attending and supporting recruitment related events as an ambassador for IMCO.

What do you need to succeed:

  • 1-2 years of related experience in Human Resources or Recruitment
  • Knowledge and experience with HR & Applicant Tracking Systems and/or a demonstrated tech savviness. Previous experience using Workday, Teams, Sharepoint is an asset.
  • Working towards Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) or similar designations is an asset.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with ambiguous situations.
  • Deep interest, curiosity and drive to learn about the various lines of business at IMCO.
  • Customer centric approach to solving issues, experience balancing individual needs and enterprise interests.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze data and use good judgment to draw conclusions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
