    Description

    We're seeking a Full Stack Web Developer with 5+ years of experience, who is proficient in both WordPress and WooCommerce, as well as Java programming.

    The role will encompass development of and , our ecommerce and content websites, as well as , our Java-based feed formulation tool.

    The ideal candidate will be a talented, creative, curious, organized, and results-oriented individual with wide experience in many areas of development and technology infrastructure.

    About the Opportunity

    Our customers are passionate advocates for our brand, and we want them to have a flawless experience on our websites. Reporting to, and working directly with, the Chief Marketing Officer, your role will be to design and implement new features and functionality, troubleshoot problems, and find ways to do what we are doing better.

    What You'll be Doing

    Working with our Executive and Nutrition team to implement new functionality and feature requests on both our WordPress sites and our Java web application

    Identifying and efficiently troubleshooting problems in a complex WordPress environment (custom theme, many different plugins, API connections, eCommerce requirements, etc.)

    Server management to ensure high performance and reliability

    On-going review of theme architecture and plugin utilization to implement best practices

    Continuous theme redevelopment and A/B testing in support of conversion rate optimization and UX enhancement

    Identify ways to better integrate our user experience across our entire tech stack

    Proactively testing sites under different conditions with a high level of attention to detail

    What We're Looking For

    5+ years of experience, with proficiency in WordPress, WooCommerce and Java programming

    Meaningful experience working with and developing your own WordPress themes and plugins

    Advanced knowledge of eCommerce (particularly WooCommerce)

    In-depth knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, CSS3, MySQL, Java and programming skills

    Knowledgeable of third-party RESTful APIs and JSON/XML formats

    Expert understanding of UX/UI principles and stays up to date with the latest trends in frontend design

    Implementing best SEO practices and optimizing code for both speed and security

    Strong understanding of Lean Agile Project Management methodology with a focus on continuous improvement

    Knowledge of managing servers, databases, DNS records and working with Cloudflare

    Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals across different teams

    Able to work independently and efficiently while managing various projects simultaneously
