Program Overview
This position will support 2 MLITSD funded bridge training program

  • ISAGE and READY.

International Skills Applied for Geriatrics (ISAGE) is a program for Internationally Educated Professionals in Healthcare, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources and other related licensed occupations delivered in partnership with George Brown College to gain relevant skills and explore alternative careers in the field of Gerontology and Social Services. It offers newcomers an opportunity to gain knowledge of the Canadian workplace, provides access to mentorships and the possibility of internships and employment in the field.


Recruitment for Equity, Accessibility and Diversity (READY) is a program for Internationally Trained Professionals with a background in Human Resource and Recruitment to integrate into commensurate employment in Canada in the recruitment sector. It also prepares skilled immigrants in industries that are in low demand in COVID and post-COVID economy to transfer their skills and experience into employment in this area. The program will be delivered in partnership with George Brown College and Ares Staffing. It offers newcomers an opportunity to gain knowledge of the Canadian workplace, provides access to mentorships and the possibility of internships and employment in the field.


We are looking for a detail oriented, organized team player that provides administrative support for both bridge training programs and other JVS initiatives working with the program employment counsellors/facilitators, manager and workforce specialist.


The incumbent in this role will be responsible for tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Join Centralized Intake team to conduct client intake
  • Responsible for administration of the centralized client intake across JVS programs; coordinate recruitment and referrals, screen referrals for appropriate programs; understand the flow of client activities for all programs
  • Arrange and conduct program client intake
  • Assist with workshop material preparation, set up equipment for presentations and provide technical support for online sessions
  • Provide support with the JVS Online Learning Management System
  • Help maintain and manage various client databases. Set up, maintain and file client records in EOIS CAMS as requested. Prepare rosters of clients as needed
  • Enter data into excel spreadsheet, monitor data and provide to managers as needed. Assist with statistical and program reports
  • Assist with organizing appointments, orientations, and workshops
  • Provide front desk/ reception duties and customer service to all clients, employers and visitors
  • Provide clerical support, including editing and formatting reports, preparing and completing agency and government forms, word processing of correspondence, reports and other materials, filing, faxing and photocopying
  • Assist with organizing events, outreach activities, etc.
  • Provide assistance to other programs including ES
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Flexible hours / evenings / weekends may be required for this position._

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:


  • High school education; Diploma or Certificate in Administration preferred
  • 2 years of administrative experience
  • Excellent administrative, analytical, interpersonal, and problemsolving abilities
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn systems used by the agency (ie. EOIS, CaMS, SalesForce); Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Ontario Bridge Training Programs
  • Employment Ontario knowledge and exposure
  • Experience with online tools and platforms
  • Experience serving newcomer professionals
