Description
As a Line Cook at The British Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality preparation of food items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and upholding our standards of food safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items in adherence to recipes and plating specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and service timing.
- Ensure all food items are cooked and presented according to established quality and presentation standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
- Collaborate with the chef and sous chef on menu development and specials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a restaurant or culinary setting.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining food quality and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required
