Resource Development Coordinator


The Resource Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating Blue Door's signature event, supporting third-party fundraisers, community outreach, and stewardship.

The coordinator must be highly organized, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be skilled in relationship management.


What does a Resource Development Coordinator do?

  • Prospect Research: Researching and evaluating funding opportunities aligned with Blue Door's strategic plan. Developing a prospect pipeline and effectively communicating upcoming grant opportunities to senior management. Supporting Quality and Evaluation with interim and final reporting related to funding proposals.
  • Revenue Generation and Stewardship: Assisting in planning and executing recognition and stewardship plans for funders. Supporting fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, events, and thirdparty fundraising. Representing Blue Door in relationships with funders and sector stakeholders.
  • Additional Operational Assistance: Maintaining accurate records of proposals and grant opportunities. Assisting with donor data entry, reporting, and communication. Communicating Blue Door's goals and work to the community. Coordinating with onsite teams for funder recognition events and supporting Marketing and Communications on various projects.

What you bring to the table

  • Postsecondary education in fundraising, communications, or a related field.
  • 23 years experience in grant writing or fundraising communications is an asset.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to deliver targeted impactful communications to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of the housing/homelessness sector and fundraising best practices are an asset.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, research skills, and ability to follow through with a high sense of urgency.
  • Possess strong understanding of reporting programs including Salesforce, DonorPerfect, and Guru.
  • Valid Driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance. Ability to travel throughout York Region.

Salary information:
$50,000-$55,000
