Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students in grades K-5, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to engage students in both English and Math subjects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach a variety of subjects including English, Math, and special education topics.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other educational technologies to enhance teaching methods.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while fostering respect among students.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with disabilities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; ALBERTA teaching certification REQUIRED.
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Classroom experience is highly desirable; previous tutoring or special education experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent writing skills for creating lesson plans, reports, and communication materials.

Pay: $48,000.00-$51,000.00 per year
