Description

PURPOSE


The Coordinator, Special Leasing is accountable to the Senior Director, Specialty Leasing and is responsible for providing administrative support for the day-to-day management of the specialty leasing program to help increase and diversify property's revenue streams by temporary leasing of the shopping center's common areas, vacant retail units, mall media, pop-up retail, etc.

while maintaining the established image of the property as a high-quality retail facility.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative Support
Manages Specialty Leasing documentation and supports various activities to successfully arrange for lease of space incl.

preparation of License Agreements and other required forms, maintenance of specialty leasing database, collection of rent, maintaining up-to-date insurance for tenants, coordination of move-in, set-up and move-out and other administrative duties as required.


  • Deal Making


Assists National Specialty Leasing and Senior Specialty Leasing Managers with various aspects of deal making administration, including preparing proposals, presentations, showing vacant units to prospects, retailer analysis, market research, sales tracking, and tenant relations.

Assists with identifying new tenants through local prospecting.


  • Visual Merchandising
Assist with enforcing merchandising standards and lease signage in accordance with the design criteria of the shopping centre. Coordinates professional photographs of retailers for both internal and external purposes and assist with industry award submissions.


  • Project Management
Completes various retail projects and initiatives to support the Specialty Leasing department and proactively manages project related assignments.


  • Pop-Up Coordination


Coordinates and assists Senior Specialty Leasing Managers with pop-up tenants, including setting up Pop-Up Project spaces with fixtures, signage, and decor in GTA shopping center's.

Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • Related experience in the real estate industry, preferably involving retail shopping centres

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organization skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position includes local travel. Must have valid driver's license.
