Accounting Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Biweekly Payroll responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Processing biweekly payroll
  • Updating pay rates, personal information
  • Updating benefit changes and deductions
  • Explaining pay stub inquiries
  • Maintaining and deducting employee purchases
  • Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.
  • Assisting in booking supplier invoices
  • Assist in Sponsor invoicing process.
  • Maintain an orderly financial filing system.
  • Reconciliation of various accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Accounting Team.
  • Reconcile customer payments with invoices and post daily AR transactions
  • Reconcile bank transactions and monthend close
  • Assist in preparing WSIB and EHT remittances
  • Assist in preparing GST return
  • Responding and assisting with employee pay inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Diploma in Accounting (preferred)
