Hall Constructors as a Safety Coordinator / Operator**This position is based in Bamberton BC, 30 minutes outside of Victoria BC, at the Coast Mountain Resources quarry.


Your day-to-day will look like:


  • On-Site safety meeting at 7:00am
  • 10hour work shift
  • Participate in any safety work plan reviews to ensure all safety best practices are in place
  • Be able to operate equipment and be a part time safety advisor onsite to ensure crew safety during daily operations
  • Be able to respond to a potential safety incident and administer Level 3 First Aid
  • Maintain housekeeping and pretrip inspections on the equipment assigned to you

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:


  • Qualifications_:
  • Level 3 First Aid Ticket
  • Safety Administration Experience
  • 5 or more years of experience operating mobile equipment
  • Class 1 BC license with clean drivers abstract
  • Aggregate industry experience (mine, quarry, etc.)
  • Technical Skills:_
  • You have a clear understanding of the WorkSafeBC Occupational Regulations, Mines Act, and WCA.
  • You have a solid working knowledge on completing hazard assessments, orientations, inspections, and onsite training.
  • You are able to develop safe job procedures, safe work practices and policies.
  • You are proficient on a computer and tablet and are able to navigate a paperless safety program.
  • You are comfortable working in a field setting.
  • NCSO or greater is desired. OFA 2 or greater is an asset.
  • Experience reviewing and writing safety work plans
  • Experienced in Safely working in and around construction sites.
  • Proven ability to operate machinery safely while achieving operational targets
  • Interpersonal Skills:_

  • You are able to collaborate with a dynamic safety team
  • Great attitude towards safety
  • Strong organizational skills and problemsolving skills
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to use word
