    Job Description:

    1. Assist in the development and modification of procedures and working practices required to ensure Hydro One Pension Plan benefit entitlements are accurately determined as per Plan provisions and applicable legislation and regulations.
    2. Maintain the procedures and working practices.
    3. Provide assistance to the Senior Pension Administration Analyst with pension activities pertaining to retirements , deaths, beneficiary appointments, terminations, purchases, transfers, family law and marriage breakdown calculations.
    4. Develop, implement and maintain detailed work methods to ensure timelines and follow-up procedures are adhered to.
    5. Assist the manager in the development and production of routine reports to ensure integrity and currency of the databases associated with the Pension Plan Administration System is maintained.
    6. Develop standardized communication and correspondence materials, for use by the support staff in the unit in their day to day work activities.
    7. Review draft and finalized separation and divorce agreements submitted by plan members or their external lawyers to ensure compliance and administrative feasibility based on existing plan provisions and applicable legislation and regulations. If necessary, co-ordinate with internal lawyers to provide the necessary feedback.
    8. Assemble or assist in the assembly of confidential c osting data pertaining to pension for compensation bargaining negotiations with Power Workers' Union and the Society.
    9. Assemble confidential data pertaining to pension prior to Power Workers' Union and Society grievance settlements. Provi de advice and guidance to Human Resource Officers, plan members (pensioners, active and deferred members, beneficiaries, external pension professionals, etc.) on issues related to the pension plan respecting plan provisions, including ot her applicable provisions of the Ontario Pension Benefits Act and Federal Income Tax Act.
    10. Maintain the currency of an Interpretation Manual and an Administration Manual for the unit. Maintain necessary processes and systems to ensure cyclical input from the Pension Administration System will be provided to other corporate systems (e.g., Pension Adjustment for T4's, pension data for the Employee Information Report, etc.).
    11. Deliver necessary training materials to support staff in the unit to ensure the staff have the necessary knowledge and skill to perform their administrative responsibilities.
    12. Assist the manager to resolve extraordinary or unusual pension entitlement issues.
    13. Perform other duties as required.
