Who we are


Quickpass Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing venture backed Software as a Service (SAAS) provider of Helpdesk Security Automation and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for the Managed IT Services (MSP) industry.

MSPs in 13 countries depend on Quickpass to deliver its critical solutions.


Quickpass offers two products:
Q Desk and Q Guard.

Q Desk empowers help desks by minimizing costly password reset tickets, providing technicians with tools to resolve tickets faster and eliminating social engineering attacks.

Meanwhile, Q Guard proactively secures MSP sensitive privileged accounts from both external and internal threats and saves time and money with automation.

Quickpass HQ is located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

We are looking for a talented and driven Vice President of Finance.

This is a new position, necessitated by fast and profitable growth, with potential for significant career advancement and increased responsibility at a recently venture-backed company environment.

The right fit is someone who brings fun positive energy to the company, has no ego, and leads by example.

The core of this role is about building out and leading our finance team to help scale our business.

Reporting directly to the CEO, we are looking for someone to lead and oversee all things finance and accounting, and being a business partner to our CEO and COO focusing on growth and strategy.

The position requires someone with a strong executive presence who can help drive strategic initiatives and lead board meetings, while also capable of diving into the smallest details to help solve daily business problems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Build relationships with management team and ensure key financial metrics and goals are being developed collaboratively, communicated regularly, and build a process to ensure a culture of highperformance, accountability and fun.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and planning process that will become the foundation for a rolling company forecast. Collaborate across all departments and create alignment on resource and investment allocation with clear plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Financial modelling to allow for sensitivity analysis and scenario testing that ties into company strategy to help determine where to allocate capital
  • Administration of stock options
  • Oversee monthend close process to ensure accurate and timely close of GAAP financial statements
  • Provide treasury management and periodic cash flow analysis to maximize capital deployment.
  • Develop and continually work to improve and automate a high quality monthly financial and KPI reporting dashboards and packages.
  • Clearly articulate ongoing company results both internally to the management team and to the board / investors, which requires an understanding of the details without being bogged down by them.
  • Help drive future capital markets activities, including any debt financings, equity financings, or acquisition or strategic partnership activities. Own finance materials for fundraising, including data room, due diligence and capitalization tables
  • Research and analysis into finance issues including tax exposure in the United States
  • Manage the relationships with external auditors, banks, investors, lawyers and any other external parties.
  • Work collaboratively to identify the right scalable "finance tech stack" for the business: Analyze, recommend, and implement new systems and processes to improve the efficiency, visibility and overall quality of accounting records and ultimately financial reporting.
  • Assist on the preparation of and strategy around annual income tax returns, SR&ED, and IRAP with 3rdparty tax advisors.
  • Manage the year end audit, including preparation of working papers and acting as a liaison with external audit team
  • Constantly assess the broader organization to find ways to improve efficiency, productivity, profitability and ultimately customer experience and retention.
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and train the finance personnel as required.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Attention to detail with pride in ownership of work
  • 8+ years of experience in finance, financial planning and analysis in a multicurrency environment and consolidations preferably a mix of public accounting and industry experience and has experience working in the startup world.
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • A strong problem solver with good analytical skills

NICE TO HAVES NOT REQUIRED:


  • Experience with subscription software (B2B or B2C)
  • Implementation of financial systems
  • Experience in a private equity or venture capital backe
