Datacenter Business Operations Program Manager II with the primary focus at reducing stranded capacity by being a key member of the local team in the deployment planning and optimization of the IT capacity, working closely with Electrical Engineers and Critical Environment Field Service Engineer.

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services.

As a CO+I Business Operations Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

By enabling data center capacity through increased Infrastructure Utilization Effectiveness (IUE) and Power Harvesting (PH), you will lead the retrofit efforts to upgrade legacy datacenters and harvest capacity in our existing fleet.

Responsibilities:


As a Datacenter Operations Business Program Manager:


  • Support the Regional Leader with strategic the tactical projects and initiatives that need to be planned and executed in a timely manner.

Manage Field Employee communications including townhalls, organizing listening sessions, and local campus level communications.

Build operational Power BI reports that will enable management to make data driven decisions.
-
Automate Power BI dashboards using complex back-end data structures.
-
Create data models that transform raw data into useful insights.
-
Establish functional specifications for reporting apps requiring an understanding of business needs.
-
Track key performance indicators (OKR's) for the team.
-
Analyze business requirements and processes and recommend improvements to leadership team for implementation.

Create and maintain documentation required by the regional leader.
-
Manage local procurement activities as required by the regional leader.
-
Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team to ensure campus level financial planning and performance reviews are conducted in accordance with the rhythm of business fiscal calendars and objectives.

Support the field operations leadership teams to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently and effectively at the regional level.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, project management or related fields.
  • Experienced in creating Power BI reporting and data modeling.
  • Agile or Waterfall Project Management experience.
