    Master Scheduler Lead

    Reporting To: Supply Chain Manager

    Work Schedule: Onsite – Halifax, NS

    In This Role, You Will

    • Lead the S&OP process and ensure alignment with the Master Production Schedule.
    • Develop and maintain build plans which balance customer demand, material availability, along with capacity constraints.
    • Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership regarding build and shipment plans.
    • Collaborate cross‑functionally to reduce lead times, optimize inventory levels, and improve schedule adherence.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners and schedulers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
    • Set clear goals aligned with business priorities and provide regular feedback and career development support.
    • Facilitate team meetings, performance reviews, and recognition initiatives to drive engagement and accountability.
    • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members in partnership with HR and Operations.
    • Resolve material and capacity constraints by coordinating with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations.
    • Ensure accurate and timely release of production orders and monitor progress against schedules.
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Maintain planning documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
    • Collaborate with department leads to allocate resources effectively.
    • Anticipate capacity constraints and propose solutions.
    • Create and analyze resource capacity charts.
    • Create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
    • Provide delivery commitments and manage changes to customer orders.
    • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure material availability and support expedited requests.
    • Generate reports to support decision‑making and stakeholder communication.

    What You Bring

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
    • 3–5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling; leadership experience is an asset.
    • Proficiency in MPS/MRP systems; APICS certification is a strong asset.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Proficient in Excel; Power BI experience is an asset.
    • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage competing priorities.
    • Self‑driven, adaptable, and collaborative with a continuous improvement mindset.
