Work Site:
Specialist office near St. Paul's Hospital (2 female doctors)

Status:
Working 3-4 days a week.


Hours:
Within the hours of 8 am and 4 pm

We are looking for a person who is empathic and caring with patients. Who has strong communication skills.

The job entails working in a busy office (approximately 20-30 patients per day) with the ability to do both technical-related duties (acquiring basic information from patients, doing preliminary testing) as well as administrative tasks (see below.) We are a very flexible office.

Education & Experience:

• Grade 1
• MOA course
• Knowledge of EMR systems would be a plus (Plexia is used in the office.)

Skills:

• Proficiency in English, additional language(s) an asset
• Good computer skills
• Eye Exams
• Detailed oriented and focused
• Interest in health care and patient care
• Team player with good communication skills and work ethic
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• A willingness to learn new things.

Day-to-day Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Review charts to see what testing needs to be done.
• Review referrals.
• Preliminary testing of patients (visual acuity, pressure checks, acquiring photographs.)
• Transfer testing into patient's charts.
• Care for equipment by maintaining and cleaning the equipment.
• Book appointments and answer phones

Successful applicants will need to provide 3 references.


Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 20-25 per week


Salary:
$15.70-$36.26 per hour
