Job description - VTL MACHINIST

JTL Integrated Machine LTD is one of the largest CNC machining facilities and fabrication shops in North America.

Established in 1964, we offer full-service manufacturing capabilities including conventional and CNC machining, metal fabrication, welding, assembly, painting and sandblasting.

We serve multi-national, Fortune 500 companies from the power generation (renewable and thermal), oil and gas, air compression, mining and metal industries.

Duties

Set-up large castings and forgings to best possible conditions. Complete turning, boring, milling, drilling and tapping operations on Vertical Turret Lathes and Horizontal Boring Mills. Work on split components that includes face-milling and bolting together of 2 parts, then machining as 1 piece

Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine
Working with large lathes and horizontal boring mills
Maintaining equipment and supplies of machines
Read engineering drawings and blueprints
General labour duties as required

Position Requirements

Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to operate floor and table type boring mills
Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain and Allen Bradley controls
Must be working towards or have completed related school or equivalent certification
Experience with Autocad
Calculate requirements including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
