- Assisting in the assessment, planning, study, design, approval, and construction administration of water supply, treatment, pumping, storage, distribution projects, and wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, and disposal.
- Supporting senior engineers and project managers in producing preliminary and detailed design drawings, preparing related reports, coordinating/preparing approvals, developing construction cost estimates, and liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors.
- Providing support to construction inspectors and contract administrators in the field and office during construction.
- Working under the guidance of project managers and senior engineers across the company to develop design skills and ensure design quality standards are met.
- Collaborating with and contributing to multi-office project teams to ensure project delivery successfully meets the needs of clients.
- Providing engineering support to multidiscipline project teams as needed.
- Preparing proposals, project reports, design documents, permit applications, environmental assessments, and environmental screening reports.
- Participating in planning and feasibility studies and conducting condition assessments of water and wastewater facilities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- An Environmental or Civil Engineering Degree, or an Environmental or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma, or a related degree or diploma.
- Membership, in good standing, or potential membership, with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
- Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes, as well as relevant agency and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices are an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation is an asset.
- Familiarity with WaterCad, InfoWater, and SewerCAD modeling is an asset.

As a part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects involving the assessment, planning, study, design, approval, and construction administration of municipal and some private sector water and wastewater infrastructure.
