Data Scientist

Reporting to the Director, Development and Integration, you will analyze, design, and implement data science/machine learning solutions using Kindred's suite of analytics tools.

You will use analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze and interpret large data sets.

Leveraging this information, you will develop data-driven solutions to help Kindred solve organizational challenges, discover new growth opportunities and identify where improvements can be made.


Key Responsibilities
Identify, process, cleanse, investigate, and validate the integrity of data from various data sources.

  • Leverage various tools, algorithms, and machine learning principles to identify and analyze trends, patterns, and insights from raw data to find answers to specific business problems.
  • Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms and improve results based on measurements and stakeholder feedback.
  • Present data using various data visualization techniques and propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.
  • Provide leadership within business and technical teams to assist with understanding of Business Intelligence gleaned from data assets.

  • Post-secondary education in computer science, data science, or mathematics
  • 12 years in a data analysis role
  • 12 years working with large data processing technologies
  • Advanced programming skills in: SQL, Python, and R
  • Knowledge of Parallel Programming and High-Performance Computing
