Social Media Specialist


Blinds To Go is seeking a Social Media Specialist with experience in developing Social Media strategies and manage all elements of social: including by platform, copywriting and creative development.

This person should be strong in strategizing, planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of our social presence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the development and execution of a social media strategy that builds the brand among younger homeowners.
  • Create social style and Imagery Guides outlines best practices across digital channels.
  • Implement Social Media Strategy to increase our online presence and broaden our audience.
  • Manage the daytoday execution of social media strategy, including scheduling, posting and community managing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, You Tube and other emerging platforms.
  • Deliver weekly reports and recommend next steps.
  • Stay uptodate with local influencers, brands and events.
  • Ability to discuss trends and strategize with our inhouse team to create attentiongrabbing, compelling Instagram stories, Facebook live streams using influencers to grow our followers and increase leads.
  • Create a robust calendar to build a topdown brand awareness strategy to roll across various channels.

What We're Looking for:


  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to influence teams and partners to deliver results.
  • Excellent copywriter with proven ability to be concise, yet impactful in Brand voice
  • Creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to drive and influence decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the social landscape with a passion for current trends and creating fresh ideas.
  • Solid grasp of best practices for Instagram, Facebook and other social media channels
  • 5+ years of experience working with popular social media platforms.
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and selfmotivation
  • Excellent communication, organizational and management skills to be able to express our company's views creatively.
  • Proven track record preferably with retail company or similar background.
  • Strong writing skills in both French and English.
