Originally founded in Australia in the 1980s, the Camp Quality name quickly spread throughout the world. Today, there are 4 independent Camp Quality organizations operating in 4 countries around the world. CQC is a grass-roots, volunteer-driven organization with a dedicated team of nearly 400 passionate volunteers across Canada. Purpose of the Position


The Fundraising, Communications and Events Specialist focuses on CQC's largest revenue stream, third party community fundraising events, community campaigns and direct mail, signature events and corporate partnerships.

Approximate annual revenue target of $850,000+.

The main responsibilities of this role are to support Regional Volunteers in the development and delivery of community fundraising events, organize Camp Quality's signature event Bay Street Kicks cancer and grow community relationships with service clubs and corporate groups.

This position requires an out-going individual that has excellent skills in communications both verbal and written.


Responsibilities
-
Manage all aspects of Community Fundraising:_

  • Grow this revenue stream by retaining current Community Fundraising volunteers and actively recruiting and promoting Community Fundraising to prospective Champions
  • Service club fundraising
  • Thirdparty community, DIY fundraising, tribute and memorial giving, and peertopeer fundraising events/campaigns
  • Creating online fundraising pages through CQ's online platform
  • Supporting volunteers to create fundraising plans in accordance with the CQ Fundraising Manual, ensuring guidelines are followed
  • Marketing and social media for community fundraising
  • Manage donation receipting for community fundraising and work collaboratively with the Senior Coordinator, Finance and Administration who processes all other donation receipting in the donor CRM
  • Enhance current stewardship practices for Community Fundraising
  • Develop and deliver training to fundraising volunteers on an annual basis.
  • Lead a committee of Bay Street Executives in the organization of Bay Street Kicks Cancer, CQ's signature event
  • Work with corporate groups to support Camp Organizing Committees and create new engagement opportunities

Other responsibilities as required:_

  • Liaison to the 7 regional volunteer Camp Organizing Committees
  • Play an active role in other campaigns
  • Assist Executive Director with other areas of fundraising
  • Create reports in donor database CRM (Donor Perfect)
  • In conjunction with the Senior Coordinator, Finance and Administration send quarterly donation reports to regional Camp Organizing Committees
  • In conjunction with the Senior Coordinator, Finance and Administration, send monthly donor Thank You cards and other communications
  • Assist with general marketing, communications, website maintenance and the Annual Report
  • Assist with grants as needed
  • Participate in the Board Fundraising & Marketing Committee
  • Attend inperson staff meetings, as required
  • Participate in at least one camp program each year
  • Collaborate with the program department as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 years of professional fundraising experience with a preferred focus on community giving and peertopeer fundraising
  • Post secondary education in a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in social media management.
  • Ability to work on your own and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Very proficient with online fundraising platforms such as Donor Perfect
  • Very proficient in using a donor database CRM
  • Strong knowledge of Revenue Canada charity guidelines
  • Clear and current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening

Compensation and Working Conditions

  • Fulltime permanent, 37.5 hours/week.
  • Start date: March 4, 2024
- $50,000 - $65,000 salary range, plus cell phone compensation

  • Health benefits included after 3 month probation. 2 weeks paid vacation.
  • Reporting to the Executive Director
  • The Camp Quality office is at 1444 Queen Street East, Toronto, however living in the GTA is not a requirement. Applicants anywhere in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario will be considered.
  • The role may involve occasional travel to support and collaborate with our teams or attend relevant events.
