Our services include emergency food and clothing; daily hot meals; emergency shelters for men, youth, families, women and children; transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs.

In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of tenants living at McGinty House.

  • Provide tenants with primary case management and community resources
  • Services to tenants include assessment & planning
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention and supportive counseling
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality and Dignity

Qualifications

  • A postsecondary education in social or health services
  • A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required
- 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential

  • Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
  • Adhere to working and operating within an antiracism and antioppression framework

Hours of Work:
Rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, nights and one weekend every five weeks.
