SUMMARY
Baxtec is seeking a Shop Coordinator to manage materials, inventory, deliveries at a Mechanical Contracting business. Ideal position for a ex-mechanical tradesperson not quite ready to retire.

MAIN DUTIES
- Shop:
Shop:
Keeping shop area, storage units, and garbage compound neat and tidy
Shop:
Maintain accurate tool inventory, add/delete tools from bar coding system as necessary
Shop:
Maintain shop tools, perform minor repairs when necessary
Shop:
Order materials for approved jobs and group together materials upon delivery to enhance job site efficiency
Tech Support:
When practical, pickup or drop off parts at suppliers or job sites
Tech Support:
Assist with technical training of junior technicians, prepare training material/tools
Safety:
Participate on Safety Committee, implement safety initiatives as directed by Safety Committee.
Building:
Primary contact for building related issues (building super), prime contact for snow clearing, groundskeepers, tenant requests
Vehicles:
book service appointments for service vehicles, assist with pick-up/drop-offs, primary contact to repair shops
Vehicles:
Coordinate new vehicle fit-ups including decals, interior fit-ups, GPS
Vehicles:
Coordinate annual truck inspections
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Selfstarter, able to manage your own time to complete multiple tasks and requests
- Strong customer service and team player skills
- Forktruck license (training is provided if required)
- Mechanical trade experience is highly desirable
Salary:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour
