Carpenter Forepersons for upcoming projects with Technical Workforce Inc. in
Vancouver and the Lower Mainland

Shift is 5 days on 2 days off - chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.

In the role you will be:

  • Leading construction on projects and ensuring that construction goals are achieved and meet or exceed client expectations
  • Producing work that results in an exceptional client experience
  • Ensuring projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards
  • Working with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule
  • Providing clear direction to those team members you're leading, to ensure project targets are achieved
  • Attending and providing input at project meetings and ensuring that information is transmitted to those on your team
  • Assessing the target production goal, then establishing a team workflow while executing the plan to achieve it
  • Supporting staff through coaching and team huddles
  • Efficiently and safely using the relevant tools and equipment needed to produce the various assemblies for the project
  • Supporting and maintaining healthy, happy work environments and corporate culture
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites

Requirements:


  • You are a highly skilled Carpenter that has experience managing construction
teams as they work to produce quality craftsmanship

  • Hold a valid Journeyperson ticket.
  • CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 201
  • Fall Protection (Ossa Preferred)
  • Telehandler
  • Confined Space
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Civil experience an asset.
  • You have an understanding of construction phases and workflow
  • Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing
